Classic lashing is a method where 1 lash extension is adhered to 1 natural lash. This method is also known as 1 to 1 or 1:1. Classic lashes are perfect for clients who already have lots of natural lashes, but want to add more length (Classic lashes look more natural).
Volume (2D, 3D, 4D, 5D or Russian) lashes are when multiple lashes are applied to one single natural eyelash individually isolating one natrual eyelash at a time. If two eyelash extensions are applied to one natural lash it described as 2D, if three eyelash extensions are applied to one natural eyelash then it's described as 3D etc. This method is also known as Russian volume. The lash extensions used are significantly thinner than the lash extensions used for the classic lash method (Usually a 0.07 diameter lash extension is used).
Volume lashes are lighter, fluffier and give the client a fuller look. Volume lashes are perfect for clients who don't have a lot of lashes, and have sparse lashes, bald spots or just want a more dramatic look without having to use a thicker lash.
Lash extensions should last as long as your natural lash stays in before it sheds (and a baby lash grows in behind it). This is anywhere from 60-75 days on average. Of course, each natural lash is in a different stage of growth so fill appointments are needed on average 2-4 weeks to keep lashes looking full and fabulous! On average daily natural lashes shed 1-5 lashes.
When done by a trained professional lash extensions will actually help your natural lashes to get stronger and healthier. Wearing lash extensions helps women not feel the need to use harsh mechanical curlers or rub their lashes each night. However, there are many misconception related to lash extensions and damage.
Many lash providers are damaging natural lashes due to:
a). Not being trained properly
b). Using cluster lashes or too heavy weight of eyelash extensions on your natural lashes
c). Not caring or taking the tim, detail and patience to apply beautful seamless single light weight extensions
d). Not taking to clients about aftercare and products that are intended for lash extensions use

We recommend getting a lash fill every 2-4 weeks. A touchup fill is needed to fill in any lashes that have fallen due to your natural hair cycle. Lash fills average times are 45min-1hour.
Eyelash extensions are individual lashes (made from a high grade sterilized Korean PBT fiber) that come in a variety of diffrent lengths, thicknesses, finishes and curl types. These extensions are applied to your natural lashes, and hold their bond until your natural lash sheds from it's own shed cycle (at which point a baby lash grows in, and fills are required to re-extend new growth). With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.
